Wither by Lauren DeStefano

5 Bling Book!

Wither

I haven’t written a full review of Wither yet, mainly because I want to wait a few more days and read it again.

I was just so excited the first time I read it; I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. I flipped pages like a maniac and I’m not ashamed to admit it!

Now that I know the story, I need to read it again slowly (and try to calm down!)  to really get my head around all of the AMAZING things that I love about this book.

It is totally a 5 Bling Book!

Monday Prize Bling

I had crazy Monday & really needed a cool prize. Since there aren’t many things cooler than a new book, I stopped at the book store on the way home!

I also stopped by the library and grabbed a bag full of awesome books and audio books!

The only tough part will be deciding what to read first! What a beautiful dilemma for a Monday that started out a bit rocky!

Rock the Drop

Today I left a copy of Melissa de la Cruz’s Blue Bloods at the Atlanta airport in celebration of Teen Lit Day & Reader Girlz Rock the Drop!

I also left a book on the plane!

This is my new favorite day ever!

Check them out at Reader Girlz

Pictures of You by Caroline Leavitt

5 Bling Book!

Pictures of You is the kind of book that stays with you for a long time. It’s many layers touched me so deeply and on so many levels. It is a beautiful story that springs out of misfortune of two women trying to get away from their lives. The story covered me like a hand-made quilt in a warm bed on a rainy morning.

I stayed up reading this beautiful novel late into the night. I felt like so much of Caroline Leavitt’s story was written directly to the secrets of my heart. The love, loss, betrayal, and eventual healing were magical. Isabelle, Charlie, and Sam captured my attention and compassion so completely that I caught myself holding my breath several times throughout the book (and not just when Sam was at his asthmatic worst).

This is a story that will stay with me; one that I will read again and again. I believe that Pictures of You is the type of novel that will continue to reveal itself to me for a long time.

Welcome to Books and Bling!

I love books! I love my Bling!

The two are together at last!
